Did you know DS Automobiles have a Formula E team partnered with Penske Autosport?

In an exciting new phase for DS Automobiles, one of Formula E's most successful brands, they have embarked on a fresh journey as partners with PENSKE AUTOSPORT. Under the rebranded name DS PENSKE! The team has now been racing together in Formula E since the 21/22 season.

DS Automobiles was among the pioneering manufacturers to join Formula E in 2015, and they have since earned two championship titles, second to only Renault in Formula E History.

Over the weekend, we had the honour of heading to ExCel London to watch the final race of the 2023 season courtesy of DS Automobiles.

While at the venue we were able to take in all that the event had to offer including a look into the future of the sport, the sustainability goals to make the sport as environmentally friendly as possible as well as a plethora of entertainment booths, games, VR experiences, food stalls and so much more!

While the weather wasn't on our side, the race finally went ahead and saw Nick Cassidy of Envision Racing take home P1 with DS Penske's Stoffel Vandoorne taking home P5 and Jean-Eric Vergne taking home P22.

The Gen 3 Car

Among the many displays, the new generation of Formula E car was proudly displayed with all of its new technology and advancements on show.

Not only is the new generation car faster, lighter and more agile but it is also far more efficient with a focus on sustainability!

The new GEN3 car has:

  • • A top speed of over 200mph
  • • around 95% power efficiency from the electric motor (Internal combustion engines average around 40%)
  • • Front and rear powertrains with a regenerative capability of 600kW able to recover over 40% in a race
  • • Ultra-High speed charging at 600kW (The most advanced commercial charging in the world!)
  • • Re-used and recycled body work including the batteries

DS Penske Formula E Team managed to finish an impressive 5th for the 22/23 season with their sights set higher for the coming season next year.

While this was the final race for the 2023 season, Formula E will return for the 2024 season next year on January 3rd in Mexico City! We cant wait to see how the DS Penske team can improve on their performance and hopefully lead a dominating 2024 season!

But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
